I was born in New Jersey but raised in Trinidad and Tobago and moved back to the United States at 17 to finish high school and pursue my dream of becoming a pilot. Shortly after graduating, I met my now-wife, Maci. She joined the Army, and as we moved from duty station to duty station, she continued to support my journey. At our first post, Fort Campbell, Kentucky, she scheduled my very first discovery flight — and from that moment, there was no turning back. I earned my private pilot’s license in a Cessna 150, and not long after, when we relocated to Fort Hood, Texas, I decided to attend flight school full-time. I completed my training up to my Multi-Engine Commercial with Instrument rating.

Although I couldn’t afford my instructor ratings at the time, I was determined to find a flying job right out of flight school — something very few pilots manage to do. I started working at an FBO as a line technician, building connections in the aviation community. Within two months, I was flying right-seat jobs, and just six months later, I landed my first full-time position flying the Cirrus SR22T G6.

Fast forward five years, and I’ve had the privilege of flying a wide range of aircraft, including the Vision Jet, Citation 500s, Citation XLs, Learjet 45, Falcon 10, and many more. Aviation has completely transformed my life, and I’ve come to love not just flying, but the entire aviation community.

That’s why we decided to make a difference in the aircraft buying and selling experience. At Ascend Aviation, we believe the process should be personalized, professional, and meaningful. Together with my wife Maci, our children Dominic and Kehlani, and my close friend and business partner Jared and his family, we are excited to share our vision with you and look forward to serving your aviation needs.
